Superintendent Johnnie M. Darden, Sr. has dedicated his life to service, beginning with his time as a Paratrooper in the U.S. Army’s 782nd Airborne Division and continuing through his career as a Wake County Deputy Sheriff and Raleigh Police Officer. After accepting Salvation in 1992, he was called to the ministry in 1994 and began ministering the Word of God in 1997. In July 2008, following the divine call to establish a new work, Pastor Darden founded Community Kingdom Building Ministries, Inc. Since its inception, he has led the ministry in advancing the Kingdom of God by teaching the principles of Jesus Christ and the Apostles. His leadership and years of pastoral experience culminated in his 2023 elevation to Superintendent of the North Carolina Jurisdiction of the United Churches of God and Christ.
Guided by the mandate to "love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:39), Superintendent Darden’s mission is to embrace individuals regardless of where they are in their personal lives. He remains committed to preaching the Word of God, leading souls to Christ, and helping believers grow closer to the Lord. Through his leadership, the ministry continues to serve as a beacon of faith and unity for the communities of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Merida, Mexico.
